A pair of Chinese Imari-style armorial plates with the arms of Walker for the English market, Kangxi, ca. 1712

Most likely commissioned for Dr. William Walker of Hertfordshire, Doctor of Laws and Judge Advocate. The ‘Chinese Imari’ service, created for his friend Lord Somers—who served as Solicitor General, Attorney General, and later Lord Chancellor—erroneously bears the Walker sun crest. Refer to D.S.
