A Roman pottery olive oil transport amphora, South of Spain, 1st/3rd C.

Can be classified in the Dressel typology under number 15, likely of Southern Spanish origin, from the ancient Roman province of Baetica (or Betica). mostly diffused to the Western Mediterranean region.

Provenance:
- Part of an important Belgian private collection. Surfaced by the father of the owners upon several boating and diving excursions along the coast of Croatia, Albania and Greece, in the early 1960's.
