A Chinese blue and white 'fishermen' bottle vase, signed Xiaoshan 曉山, artemisia leaf mark, Kangxi

Provenance: Private collection of the Société Industrielle de Mulhouse. This collection was built the late 19th century to the early 20th century.

Xiaoshan 曉山 was a renowned blue and white porcelain master during the Kangxi period. The Palace Museum holds a blue and white 'fishermen' 渔乐 brush pot bearing his mark. Vases and zun-shaped vessels attributed to him are extremely rare in existence.
