Carlo-Francesco Mozzoni-Frosconi, originally from Milan, married Françoise-Elisabeth Proli in 1739 in Antwerp. She was the daughter of Pietro Proli—one of the directors of the Ostend Company and among the earliest bankers in Antwerp—and Aldegonde Pauli. The wedding was held in the private chapel of Monseigneur d’Espinoza, the twelfth bishop of Antwerp. That same year, Carlo-Francesco was entrusted with a diplomatic mission in Flanders. From 1744 to 1760, the couple resided in Milan.
