A Chinese famille verte armorial 'Provinces' dish with the arms of Utrecht, Kangxi

The Utrecht dish is part of a collection of territorial armorial dishes and barber's bowls that feature coats of arms from various Dutch, English, Flemish and French provinces and cities. These dishes, likely privately commissioned, were decorated with specific heraldic symbols. The dishes are circular, with a central coat of arms, often surmounted by a crown or bonnet, and a scroll beneath the shield displaying the territory's name. The Utrecht dish is one of many in this set, representing the historical regions of the Low Countries.

- A small superficial chip and a related hairline of ca. 3 cm located at the 7 o'clock position on the rim.
- A hairline of ca. 2,5 cm located at the 11 o'clock position on the rim.
- The rim shows signs of slight polishing and later gilding.
