- James A. Garland (1840–1902), New York — No. 882 in his collection of Chinese porcelains, on loan to The Metropolitan Museum of Art by 1895; described at case level (case 9) in 'Hand-book of a Collection of Chinese Porcelains loaned by Mr. Garland', and with a label to the back. (see added scans)
- Sold by the Garland estate to Duveen Brothers, 1902, and acquired the same year by J. Pierpont Morgan (1837–1913).
- J. P. Morgan Collection of Chinese Porcelains, exhibited at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; recorded in S. W. Bushell & W. T. Laffan, 'Catalogue of the Morgan Collection of Chinese Porcelains', no. 430, one of a collection of eight similar plates (no. 429-436), corresponding to the label to the back (no. 430, 412006). (see added scans and image of the J.P. Morgan installation at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1907)
