Dia.: 30 cm

The scene on this dish is directly copied from an engraving by Giulio Bonasone (1531 - 1576) (see third image), which in turn was inspired by a fresco devised by Giulio Romano (c. 1499–1546) in the Palazzo del Te in Mantua.

Inscribed on the back 'trionffo di dei marini'.
