The plate shows the crowned arms of the Swedish baronial family Broman, flanked by two 'wild men'. Ordered for Erland Broman (1704-57), president of Kommerskollegium (the Swedish National Board of Trade) in 1747. Made baron in the same year and in 1752 introduced in the House of the Nobility.
